Recent days have reminded us that winter is coming!  At the onset of cold weather, it is a good idea to protect your meter from freezing by covering the meter with some type of insulation.  An inverted oil pan works well, or an unopened bag of mulch or potting soil.  Do NOT fill the meter pit with any type of insulating material or place solid items made of thick metal or wood over the meter.
